CONTEMPORARY YOUTH COMPANY
(DECYC)

Established in 2019, Danse Élan's Contemporary Youth Company is comprised of a dynamic ensemble of young and talented dancers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression through the language of dance. DECYC's repertoire encompasses a diverse range of dance styles, from contemporary and jazz to aerial silks and classical forms. We pride ourselves on creating original and collaborative performances that captivate audiences of all ages. Each piece is a unique exploration of movement, rhythm, and storytelling, reflecting the rich diversity of our dancers' talents. DECYC is deeply committed to giving back to the community through charitable performances, raising thousands of dollars for local women's and children's charities including, but not limited to, The Hope House Foundation, The Hesed House, and Lincoln County's Coalition Again Child Abuse & Advocacy Center.

 

DECYC's mission is to provide non-competitive performance opportunities for dancers, with special emphasis on helping local charities that benefit women and children; to enhance the educational opportunity of each DECYC Member and Apprentice by providing workshops, intensives, and master classes; to build appreciation for dance as an art form; and to provide scholarship opportunities for members.
